
Prosecutor General Zagorka Dolovac is in a working visit to Eurojust, the European Union (EU) agency for criminal justice cooperation, during which meetings were held with the new President of Eurojust, Michael Schmid, Vice-President Boštjan Škrleč, as well as with senior representatives of national offices.
During the meeting with the President of Eurojust, the successful cooperation between the Public Prosecution Office of the Republic of Serbia and Eurojust was discussed, which has intensified after the opening of the Liaison Prosecutor's Office for Serbia at Eurojust in March 2020, when the number of cases has significantly increased, including high-profile cases of organized and other serious crime.
It was emphasized that the public prosecutors of the Republic of Serbia actively participate in coordinated investigations, joint investigation teams and coordination centers with their European colleagues and that Serbia continues to be at the first place in terms of the results of cooperation with Eurojust in the Western Balkans.
Prosecutor Generl Zagorka Dolovac expressed the commitment of the Supreme Public Prosecution Office to further continuation and strengthening of cooperation with Eurojust, with the aim of a successful joint fight against crime in the European judicial area.
The participants of the meetings noted that the cooperation between the Public Prosecution Office of Serbia and Eurojust is fast and efficient and that it results in successes in specific cases, and confirmed their readiness for its further improvement in the future.
