Participation of the Prosecutor General in the conference on encrypted communications

The Prosecutor General, Zagorka Dolovac, spoke today in the opening remarks of the conference " Use of encrypted communication in criminal proceedings", together with the President of the Supreme Court, the President of the Bar Association, the Assistant Minister of Justice and the ambassadors of the European Union, the USA, the OSCE and the Council of Europe.

Addressing the present representatives of the Serbian judiciary and experts from the region, the countries of the European Union and the USA, Zagorka Dolovac stated that the Republic of Serbia was among the first in the world to start a criminal legal fight against the misuse of information and communication technologies for criminal purposes by establishing special state bodies to fight high-tech crime.

Speaking about the importance of international cooperation for the successful use of information and evidence from encrypted communications in criminal proceedings, Zagorka Dolovac expressed the expectation that today's international expert meeting will give an additional perspective to this complex topic, contributing to the work of professionals who are obliged to protect society and respond to digital challenges that it faces.
