Supreme Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac held a meeting today with the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Emanuele Giaufret, within regular international cooperation activities carried out by the Supreme Prosecutor.
During the meeting it was noted that there is exceptionally good cooperation between the Supreme Public Prosecution Office and the institutions and organizations of the European Union in the criminal law field, such as EUROJUST, its specialized network for high-tech crime "EJCN", and the others, and with the Supreme and General Prosecution Offices of the European Union member states, with whom exceptional results have been achieved over the years, such as, for example, international legal assistance in the matter of obtaining evidence in the "Belivuk Group" case.
The possibilities of establishing cooperation between the Supreme Public Prosecution Office and the European Public Prosecutor's Office for the exchange of information regarding corruption cases related to the possible misuse of European Union funds in the Republic of Serbia were also discussed.
Supreme Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac and Ambassador Giaufret agreed to continue cooperation within the existing framework, as well as to expand it to the new ones, and wherever possible, to jointly advance it.
